Potato starch is used in food production as a thickener and filler, a fat substitute and as a carrier for flavouring, as a stabiliser for emulsions and to bind water. Potato starch is characterised by its white colour, its neutral taste and high viscosity. Potato starch is used in the production of meat products, noodles, snacks or baked goods and to bind soups and sauces. Potato starch is naturally gluten-free.
