The new RedLine RDF 85 thermoforming system
attracted a great deal of attention. With its variable
mold interface, it enables the use of existing molds that
are already available at the customer's site, regardless
of the manufacturer. The new segment comprises a
series of thermoformers with an attractive
price/performance ratio and differentiates itself from the
well-known ILLIG BlueLine thermoforming systems.

The automatic pressure-forming machine RDM 76K 4G
with a forming area of 760 mm x 540 mm is a
thermoformer of the 4th generation. The double servo
drive of the production system ensures shorter
movement times and thus faster cycle times. By using
a center support for the lower machine table, ILLIG
increased the closing force by 50 percent to 900 kN.
As a result, the cutting length can be utilized by up to
50 percent more, the service life is extended and
productivity in increased.
ILLIG has expanded the decoration technology, in-mold labeling in thermoforming, IML-T®, with the new decoration unit IC-RDKL. This enables the economical production of brilliantly decorated lids. The IC-RDKL can be integrated into existing IC-RDK 80 production systems. Manufacturing costs of decorated thermoformed lids are 20 percent lower than injection-molded lids since the weight is substantially lower, the output is higher and machine investment is lower.
